48 Hours After 2nd Chemo Party

Monday night after my 2nd Chemo Party I felt great but didn't have any desire or need to go to bed. I simply was not sleepy. Around 2 AM I took two Tylenol PM and fineally went off to sleep around 6AM. When I went in to get my Booster Shot the next day, the nurse told me one the medications in my Chemo Party the day before would do that. Yes, I felt "rought" most of Tuesday because of lost of sleep. Last night was normal. I take one peel every 8 hours for three days after a C-Party that offsets many of the "negagtives" of Chemo! They work great! I take two other peels each morning for 3 days after Chemo that give me a "spin" for a little while. Two crackers with peanut butter do a pretty good job of reducing that spin. We go through a lot of peanut butter. We went to our first lunch at the Senior Recreation Center today. Food and company was good. Tonight we are going to a movie at AMC at Valley View with a group from the center. Cost is Free! This Senior Thing is not all bad.

Comments:
The movie was Copying Beethoven and I thought it was incredibly terrific! Ed Harris and others definitely Oscar material.
Jerry had to cancel because he was busy reseeding lawn with rye grass....so it'll look nice when we put house on market (hopefully in November)
We'll go to The Miracle Worker at Brookhaven this weekend, compliments of Senior Activity Center. A good thing!

Peanut butter sounds and tastes good anytime, especially Jif extra crunchy. I get whole wheat saltines so that it is extra nutritious!
I came across a birthday card that I had sent to Kristin when she was at UT. It said, I want to make you a nice meal for your birthday.....open up card, What kind of wine do you serve with peanut butter/jelly sandwich?
Is that me or whut??

Oops, that should have said Joyce rather than Jerry. I forgot to change the identity. joyce

Next on our agenda:
I came down with a case of strepthroat. Luckily, I was able to get in to see our wonderful doctor, Dr Zeller. Started on antibiotics yesterday. Sleeping in guest room and avoiding giving germs to Jerry. Said I would not be contagious after being on antibiotics. Have a busy, fun weekend plan but shall play this up and rest as much as I can.
Couldn't keep precious Scarlett last night. She and I were scheduled to watch Mr. Dreamy Eyes on Grey's Anatomy. I slept through some of it. Then saw most of Shark...with James Wood. It's a great show. Had no seen it before. I do recommend it.

Is rye grass where rye bread comes from? I wonder if Peanut butter would taste good on that - Joyce you know what they say, "Choosy Mothers, Choose Jiff" Now I know...

Glad to hear Jerry is reseeding - sounds like he is feeling pretty good. Hope he is getting more sleep now. This blogging thing is a neat way for everyone to keep track of what is going on - I like it!

Janet, thanks for commenting. We love to read the comments and it is so so easy to do.
I nearly bought the cheaper brand but I remembered that commercial...Good moms choose Jiffy Peanut Butter....so for all the times I might have screwed up and yelled at the kids to clean up their rooms when we were showing homes......I chose Jiffy to make up for it.
I would yell and scream for them to clean rooms...If Jerry was home, he would get a bucket of water with detergent to have them clean the damn walls. I would scream, I don't want them to clean the frigging walls, I want them to clean up the clutter.
My problem now is who do I blame the clutter on........Jerry, of course!! hahaha
Let us hear from "all of y'all"....as we say in the DEEP SOUTH!
Oh yes, Lemongrass is an Asian product that tea can be made of or can make Lemongrass chicken. It is touted to be the Miracle Cure. Is supposed to click, click, click and destroy any abnormal cells in our body. Both Jerry and I make the tea when we have time. Our good friend, Tommy, has MS. He said there is a write-up in the MS Newsletter about how good it is for our bodies.
Keith sent us 72 lemongrass bags of tea....Jerry shared some with Tommy who is in a wheelchair...an absolutely wonderful, intelligent person. He and two other friends are purchasing my Dream Home. I could only give it up to someone I REALLY like and I REALLY them.
